Short and Sweet Week!

With only a three day week of school, we had lots to do in a short amount of time! We continued to practice read to self, and read to someone. We are working on staying in one spot and building our stamina. We read with someone for 7 minutes!!

My tots were SO excited we opened the writing center! The writing center is a spot where we practice letters, sight words, drawing and coloring. 

Not only did we work on writing,we spent time this week working on our math centers! 

We played a roll and count apple tree game.

We practiced writing numbers 1 & 2 with a fun spin and write game.  We also reviewed pattern blocks.

 I introduced five frames to the class. We worked with counters and explored numbers 1-5. We found different ways to represent the number. We LOVED using bear counters.

With all of this hard work, we made sure to save time on Friday for fun, free choice centers!
