Town Meeting

Roxbury had their second Town Meeting of the year and Kindergarten shared their learning with third grade. Two representatives from our class, Maya and Isabella shared the ramp we built with our new science unit, Push and Pull!

Way to go Kindergarten!

March Math

Here our a few math activities we loved during the month of March.

Race to 100! Students got a dice or spinner, whatever they rolled or spun they crossed that many boxes off with a partner to see who could get to 100 first!

Lucky Charm Graphing- We used cereal to sort, graph and eat of course!

Susie Subtraction- We've been working super hard on subtraction! We used frog counters and logs to tell subtraction number stories!

Celebrity of the Week

Berlin was the Celebrity of the Week! She brought in her doll and told her friends she likes to paint!

Thiago (not pictured) Was also the student of the week and he brought in Mickey Mouse to share with his friends! He also told the class his favorite food is vegetables!

Q & U Stick Like Glue!

The wedding photos are finally in! I apologize, the "photographer" has been a bit overwhelmed with planning another wedding- sorry for the delay! :)

We hosted a ceremony in the auditorium with all of kindergarten (pre-k were our guests!) Dr. Bonasera made it official, we shared a first dance, and cheers to the letter sound /kw/!

Celebrity of the Week

Jacob was our student of the week. He told his friends he is 6, he likes to eat Sour Patch Kids and when he is not at school he likes to play hockey. He brought in his triathlon trophy to share with his friends.

Foxs in Socks, Wacky Wenesday, Hat Day and PJ's!

The rest of the week did not disappoint! It was filled with yummy treats, funny stories, special accessories and engaging activities.

On Tuesday we wore green, wrote about our favorite foods we want to eat instead of  green eggs and ham, and enjoyed a  sweet and salty snack from the Ladd family.

On Wednesday we couldn't contain our excitement (me included). We pulled out all of the stops and came to school with all sorts of wacky accessories! We also wore our favorite socks!

We had a sock parade through second grade, danced, took too many brain breaks, had playtime in the morning, and showed off our socks during morning meeting.  The teachers joined in on the fun, too!

Me, Vanessa and Francesca all wore tutus!

  Goggles to school?!

On Thursday we wore hats from home and made Cat in the Hat hats!

We loved our cat in the hat snacks!

On Friday we wore pajamas.  It was perfect attire for the snowy morning we had.

The onesie crew!

We had a guest reader, Bob Lyons from Stamford. He donated 3 books to our class!

WHAT. A. WEEK.

Thank you to everyone who sent in Dr. Seuss items this week. It made the week that much more exciting!
