Thank You!!
Thank you to the MANY families who donated Play-Doh and stickers to our class! The stickers will be put to good use this week and we have already cracked open the Play-Doh and began building words!
Fire Safety!
We had a fun end to our fire safety unit- real firefighters came to visit Roxbury! We learned how to be calm and safe incase of a real fire, heard what a fire alarm sounds like and got to see the inside of the truck!

Looking Back on Our Week
The letter of the week was G and the word of the week was go! I was SO impressed with my tots when they were able to come up with 38 G words! We are becoming so aware of letters and their corresponding sounds and it is amazing to see!
We tore green paper to strengthen our fingers and trace over the letter G.
We read books about fire safety and the alphabet. We are beginning to read sight word books. Our favorite part? The fun pointers!! We put our "eyes" on the words and practiced reading on our own!
In math, we worked with partners and practiced writing the numbers 1-4.
Two cheers for my independent tots!
Trip to the Nature Center!
Our first field trip was a success! We had so much fun at the Nature Center. We learned all about apples and how cider was made. They even let us sample cider! We saw lots of animals, played on the awesome wooden playground and had a picnic lunch!

Sand Table, Rice Writing and Paint Bags!
This week was jam packed! We learned our first two sight words, the and I, the letter Dd and went on our first field trip!
Instead of using a boring pencil to practice our letters, we had lots of fun! We used colored rice to trace with our finger.
Instead of using a boring pencil to practice our letters, we had lots of fun! We used colored rice to trace with our finger.
We found letters hidden in the sensory table and used crayons to trace the matching letter.
We dotted D's with "dot" markers.
Lastly, we used paint bags and q-tips to practice the and I.
Who knew letters could be so much fun!!
