Feast Day

First, we made a turkey craft. Thank you to Mrs. Tsiropinas and Mrs. Romaniello for sending in the supplies. We used popcorn, goldfish and gloves to make a turkey with feathers. First up, popping the popcorn!
We patiently waited for the kernels to get hot and start popping up.

Once our popcorn was popped, we let it cool down and headed off to watch an adorable performance from the first graders about The First Thanksgiving.

We came back, and assembled our craft.
Finally, it was time to FEAST! We had a delicious feast filled with dinosaur chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, corn, juice boxes and buttered rolls! YUM!

I am SO thankful to work with each and every one of your children. It is a joy and a privilege to watch them grow. I hope your holiday was filled with lots of food and relaxation. Happy Thanksgiving! XOXOXO

Andy Addition

I'd like you to meet Room 210's new friend, Andy Addition!

Room 210 learned this week that Andy has a very important job. He likes to take two groups of things and put them together. We used Andy when we did our turkey math.

We took two turkeys, and added feathers to them. Then we counted and added how many feathers we had all together! Here are two finished products.

Thanks for all of your help, Andy!

Turkey Cookies

Thank you to Mrs. D for keeping our turkey cookie tradition alive! Each year she makes turkey cookies and brings them in for the kids to decorate. They had SO much fun decorating with frosting, m&m's, licorice, marshmallows and sprinkles. Their favorite part... eating them of course! (Please excuse our pumpkin plates, Ha! :))

Apex Fun Run

Thank you to all of the families who donated to the Apex Fun Run! The money raised goes toward trips and events at Roxbury. We couldn't have asked for a better day in the middle of November. My tots ran their hearts out for 36 laps. Check them out!!

Two Cheers for Room 210!!
