We used, Pete the Cat Rockin' in My School Shoes to brainstorm ideas of things we do throughout the school day. We wrote a beginning, middle and end.
The author's chair was introduced and three friends shared their stories with the class!
In math, we practiced counting objects and identifying numbers. Ten frames were introduced to help us count objects. We use a ten frame everyday when we count the number of days we've been in school!
On Thursday, we had a school wide assembly to honor veterans. Our very own Mikey had a veteran close to his heart come to Roxbury, his great grandpa!
Look at the beautiful flag the fifth graders made!
Thank you to all of the Veterans who help to keep us safe! You make us smile!
Two cheers for Olivia and Mikey who were caught being kind! (Mikey left early, here is Olivia holding both of their names! :))
Looking Ahead...
