Short and Sweet Week!
Our three day week flew by! We took some time to practice writing our names with the correct letter formation, capitalization (you may have seen a name paper go home in your child's folder). We strengthened our fingers and crinkled tissue paper to glue over our names. They came out beautiful and are being displayed in the hall!
I introduced the letter O this week! We made a long list of words that begin with the letter O and learned that when we make the O sound, our mouth makes an O shape! Here are a few of us tracing over our letter of the week and enjoying a CheeriO snack!

Recap of the Week!
Our letter of the week was C. We read poems, sang songs and searched for the letter C in our reading. We made a project with cotton and ate cat cookies!
Two cheers for Austin and Morgan! Their names were chosen this week because they were caught being kind and responsible!
We continued to establish classroom rules and routines. We spent a lot of time learning how to read to self. We found a spot around the room, grabbed our book bin and got lost in a book!
When we weren't reading or learning the letter C, we found time to play, dance and enjoy the last few days of summer outside.
(our favorite dance right now is the Tooty Ta! you can click the link before and check it out!)

Thank you to all of the families who came to Open House! If you were unable to make it, a folder went home with your child. Please be sure to go through the folder. There is important information regarding the school year.
Looking ahead...

Thursday and Friday there is no school for the Jewish holiday.
Just A Dot, Not A Lot!
Room 210 used liquid glue for the first time this week! They learned a dot goes a long way when using glue. We also took this opportunity to strengthen our little hands!
Here are some tots using liquid glue to put cotton on the letter C!
