Recap of the Week
It is taking everyone in Room 210 a long time get back in the swing of the things after all of these days off. It was a 5 day week, which ended with many friends getting sick. I hope everyone rested over the three day weekend, and kicked that cold/ bug goodbye!
In phonics, we learned our 19th letter! We are almost complete with the alphabet. We've been blending and stretching out words like crazy and I am SO impressed with all of the words we are reading.
We learned our 23rd sight word this week and read many "just right books".
Here are a few of our tots using our glittery snow to make words.
In reader and writing, we focused on winter. We wrote about things we like to do in winter, read stories about snowmen and strengthened our fingers with a fine motor snowman project.
On Friday, we learned about Martin Luther King and wrote about heroes.
In math, we worked on those tricky teen numbers!
Looking Ahead...
Thank you to the 16 families that have connected to my classroom on ClassDojo! It makes for easy communication and classroom management. All of my tots are loving it so far!! If you have not done so, please do so ASAP!
