All Aboard!!

Roxbury's Pre-k and Kindergarten students threw on their most comfortable pjs, grabbed their golden tickets and lined up to board the Polar Express!

We are patiently waiting for the conductor to arrive!
  Oh hey, Mrs. Barford!!

Hmm...That conductor sure resembles Dr. Bonasera! :)

We took our seats and got ready for the movie!

After the movie we enjoyed hot chocolate, munchkins and cookies! Thanks to all the parents who sent in items for our party.

Happy Holidays from Room 210 (and our mascot, Ava!)

A HUGE thank you to all of the families who took part in the class gift! It was so sweet of you to think of me. I will be putting the money to good use on my vacation that starts tomorrow! Wishing you a happy new year from St. Thomas
XOXOXO See you in 2017!

Gingerbread Cookies

Thanks to the wonderful Mrs. D for keeping another kindergarten tradition alive; decorating gingerbread cookies!  We used frosting, m&m's, raisins, sprinkles and marshmallows to decorate! Yummy!

We sure love gingerbread cookies, but we love Mrs. D even more!!

December Recap

This month was filled with gingerbreads, birthdays, and different December holidays! Here are some pictures of activities we did.

We played dreidel with friends.

We read gingerbread stories, and wrote about the characters.

We colored by sight word and made a winter scene,

and used christmas trees and ornaments to practice addition.
Lastly, we used themed erasers to build letters and sight words.

Next up...gingerbread cookies and Polar Express Day!

Holiday Traditions

This week, we talked about the December holiday, Christmas! We read Christmas stories and made our own trees out of triangles.

They are displayed in the kindergarten hallway!

Mrs. O'Brien came to  share an O'Brien family tradition. Every year their family makes ornaments for the tree! Each child got to make two ornaments to take home.

Thanks for coming in Mrs. O'Brien!!

Mrs. Bruno even came by to help!

On Friday, Mrs. Tsiropinas came in to read a Christmas story, and celebrate Ellie's Christmas birthday!

Happy early birthday to our holiday baby, Ellie!!
