Halloween Centers!

This week was fun filled and jam packed with pumpkins and Halloween!
On Monday, we read Pumpkin Jack and discussed the life cycle of pumpkins. We practiced our labeling and labeled the  parts of a pumpkin.

On Tuesday, we sequenced the life cycle of a pumpkin and read a non-fiction story to go with it.

During our literacy centers, We worked on our letter of the week which was Hh. Since Halloween starts with H, we used different Halloween stickers to decorate!

We used cute pumpkin and Halloween erasers to build letters.

We matched uppercase and lowercase letters with Mrs. D
Worked on our fine motor skills and used tiny stickers to go over letters.
We played with alphabet puzzles to practice letter recognition,
   Worked on writing,
And played a monster match-up game!

In math, we used spooky Halloween fruit snacks to sort. This week's math objective was sorting.  First we matched the fruit snack to the picture.
Then we colored the rectangles to show how many fruit snacks we had,

and then we got to eat them!!

We worked with numbers 1-6. Here are some tots counting, building and writing numbers 1-6.
We rolled the dice, counted/matched the number and dotted it!
We used all sorts of shapes to make our very own jack-o-lantern!!
We used more of those cute erasers to add spiders to our "webs". Then we got to use MARKERS to color the spiders!

And if that wasn't enough Halloween for ya, swing by Monday for pics of my tots in their costumes!

Two Cheers for my tots who were caught being kind!

XOXO
