Looking Back on Our Week!

In writing, we continued with our fairytales unit. We discussed character and setting, and practiced drawing these story elements. Some of the books we read were, Hansel and Gretel, Henny Penny, The Little Red Hen and The Gingerbread Boy.

In math, we continued to use ten frames to help us count objects 1-10. This time, we decided to use Andy Addition and add some numbers! We worked with a partner to spill out our colored counters and place them on the ten frame. Then, we counted how many counters we had  of each color and wrote the numbers on white boards.

 Our letter of the week was K. We used Kix cereal to make a K.
