Lookin' Back on Our Week!

Our theme of the week was plants! We read fiction and Non-fiction stories about plants. We learned that all flowers start from a seed, have roots, a stem, leaves and pollen. Two of our favorite books were Planting a Rainbow and Up in The Garden and Down in The Dirt

We took an opportunity to strengthen our fine motor skills as well as practice labeling a picture!

We also "planted a rainbow" in the our hallway! We used our hands to make the petals. :)

On Thursday, we had a guest reader from Business to Books come to our class! She read one of our favorite books, The Day The Crayons Quit!

Not only do we love listening to a story, but we are working on our read to self skills! We are up to 7 minutes of reading just right books! Our goal is to get to 10 by the end of the year!
Look at us in action!

On Friday, many tots participated in 2nd grades Hat Day! Room 202 earned 14 dollars toward the donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital!  Two cheers for kindergarten!

Looking Ahead…
