This week was filled with turkeys and things we are Thankful for! Our letter of the week was T and my tots came up with 44 words that began with T! One of the words was, turkey!
In reading and writing we talked about feelings. We are in the middle of writing a feelings book. We wrote about a time we felt happy, and a time we felt angry.
In morning meeting, we are working on expressing our feelings using the sentence starters, "It bugs me when_____" and "I wish__________". You may hear your child using this at home!
We wished Ianna a very happy 5th birthday!
Two cheers for my three tots who were caught being kind!
Looking ahead...

Thank you so much to the families who are supplying items!
I created a Project Donor's Choose project and we are already half way to getting the project funded!

Project Donor's Choose
Project Donor's Choose is a site that teachers use to help fund "projects" for their classrooms. Some projects could be books, centers, furniture or technology.
The project I have created is for flexible seating options in the classroom. If this project is funded, it would allow for an art easel, a comfy couch for our reading corner, lap desks to write around the room and comfy stools for our writing center.
The site is below. Every donation is appreciated, no matter the amount!
Thank you for everything you do! Help if you can! XOXO

3 Day Week!
Our week was short and sweet! Over the three days we were in school we learned the letter L, the sight word you and we worked on making that tricky number 8!
In reading, I introduced our new turkey pointers. We use these during our literacy block to point to words when reading. Look how excited a few of my tots were to use them!

On Wednesday we went on a leaf hunt! We found beautiful, colorful leaves and brought them inside to make projects!
Looking ahead...

**Book in a bag will go home tomorrow for the first week. The bag goes home on Monday and returns on Fridays. Please encourage your child to read the story by themselves, and assist along the way.**
There are a few items that are still needed for our feast. If you have not done so already, please check it out!

Caught You Being Kind!
Two cheers for my tots who were caught being kind and doing the right thing when they thought no one was watching!
Halloween Fun!
Halloween was filled with nonstop fun! We had an assortment of Halloween centers over a two week period. Here is a quick look at some of them.
In math, we used spooky fruit snacks to sort and graph.
We worked together to match uppercase and lowercase letters with pictures that started with that letter. The puzzles made candy corns!
We used Halloween stickers to practice 1:1 correspondence. We also used spider erasers for counting.
We used pumpkin erasers to form numbers and letters.
In science, we carved a pumpkin! We used our senses to smell and touch the pumpkin. Everyone helped to pull out the pulp and seeds.
Thank you to Mrs. D for baking pumpkin cookies and letting us decorate them!
Thanks to the Diaz family for bringing in the Halloween craft. We designed our own masks while enjoying our yummy treats from the Bruno and Combest families! Thank you to all of the families who sent in items for our party.
After our treat and craft it was finally time for our costumes!!
Even I joined in!
I dont know about all of you, but I think I have had enough Halloween until 2018! :)
