Guest Readers

Room 210 has enjoyed guest readers over the past month! Mrs. Romaniello and Mr. Bruno were our  parent guest readers!

We also had third grade buddies come and read with us! Each kindergartener was given a buddy to read with. It was so sweet to see my tots reading to the third graders!

Please continue to read with your child at home! They have come SO far this year.

Happy Reading!!

Mother's Day Tea Party!

Thank you to all of the moms who took a little time out of their day to celebrate Mother's Day in Room 210! To the moms who couldn't make it, I hope you enjoyed your gift! We worked very hard to make the gift and morning perfect!

XOXOXO

Celebrities of the Week!

The last few weeks have flown by and my tots have been SUPER busy!

In phonics we reviewed the vowels a,i, u and now e! We are building and blending lots of words. We are 8 words away from all of the K sight words! It is important to read these words at home with your child. The more fluent they are in these sight words, the more fluent their emergent reading skills become.

In reading and writing we have finally finished our Eric Carle Author Study and began to explore non-fiction texts. We are currently learning about living vs. non-living things, and life cycles.

In math, we are also exploring 3D shapes and reviewing skills we learned this year.

Two weeks ago, Alessia was the Celebrity of the Week! She brought in her jewelry maker and tablet to share with her friends. She told the class she is 6 years old, her favorite food is pizza and she likes to play with her sister.

This past week, Michael was the Celebrity of the Week! He told the class he is 6 years old, he likes to eat grilled cheese and free draw with his dad!
