Review of the Week!

We began our last unit of the school year, Under The Sea! We brainstormed a list of all of the things we know about the ocean before diving into our first book. We read the famous story, The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. We made beautiful rainbow fish and wrote about what good friends do.

We made our last display of art work in the hallway before my tots move on to first!

Kelson was the celebrity of the week. He told his friends his favorite food is macaroni and cheese with shells and when he's not at school he loves to play, especially with his truck he brought in for show and tell!

This week was hot and busy and by Friday afternoon,  I think we were all ready for the 3-day weekend.

Looking Ahead…

Review of all kindergarten skills from now until June 16th!

Please return the permission slip for the zoo trip ASAP.

Field Day!

After two rain dates, we finally woke up Thursday morning to  a sunny, and very hot field day! Team Purple was so excited for the games to begin.

   First up, limbo!

Then off to the Hippity Hop!

  Best Friends
Forever!

 Off to the obstacle course
Look how happy we are after our watermelon break!
 Parachute fun

Whats more fun than a water station in 85 degree weather!

Congrats to Freya and Dominick for making it to the finals for the 50 yard dash.

After all of that running around, we were ready for a picnic lunch.

We saved the best for last…POPSICLES!

                        TEAM PURPLE ROCKS!

Don't Forget

Don't Forget…

Field Day has been changed to Tuesday, May 24th. Our class color is PURPLE.

Wednesday, May 25th is an early release day. Dismissal begins at 1:20.

There is no school Monday, May 30th for Memorial Day.

We are Authors and Illustrators!

We spent all week talking about feelings. We read books like Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, I Was So Mad, Today I Feel Silly, and Scaredy Mouse

We used our own connections to write a story. After writing our stories, we looked back on our work  and did some editing. Each tot went home with their book today!

Two cheers for my almost first grader authors and illustrators!!

Room 202's Busy Week!

As we get closer to summer break, the weeks seemed to be busier! On Monday, we enjoyed a performance of Gulliver's Traveler.

On Wednesday, Ms. Sabina returned to teach another lesson for Junior Achievement. This week, they focused on needs and wants. We loved the activity because we got to use stickers!

Today, Bruce Museum came to Roxbury with their touch tank. We got to see clams, oysters, mussels, snails, hermit crabs and a crab!

We were a little nervous about the crab!

Then we realized he was more scared than we were!
This is the hermit crab.
