All About Teeth

We had a day filled with facts about teeth! Mr. Super Tooth came to visit Roxbury to explain how important it is to brush and floss your teeth.

In math, we made a graph to see how many students have lost a tooth, and how many have not.
We read stories about teeth such as Arthur's Tooth and Franklin and the Tooth Fairy.
At the end of the day we wrote about what we would do if we were the Tooth Fairy!

The Grouchy Ladybug

Our first Eric Carle project; My tots as grouchy ladybugs! I had them make their meanest face, check them out!!
We also learned about speech bubbles. Inside the bubble is a personal connection to when they felt grouchy like the character in the story. Many of my friends said, "never" and I said mom and dad may think differently!! :)

100th Day!

Happy 100th Day of school!!! Here are some pictures of us by our "100th Day Museum"...
I want to thank you for the hard work that went into the projects. They are awesome! Here are a few more:

We started off our day with 100th day literacy centers. We wrote about what we would do with $100 dollars, what we would look like if we were 100 years old, and something we would LOVE 100 of, and something we would would NOT want 100 of!

During math, we worked together to finish a puzzle with 100 pieces and used legos to build things with...you guessed it, 100 legos! We were so proud of ourselves when we finished!

We also had an assembly today for Black History Month. Mr. Jones came to visit Roxbury and told us about African music and instruments. Our very own Serenity danced in the performance!

Our day ended with a special treat. We had 100 munchkins from the Ylitalo's family! Thank you so much they were delicious!!
Homework tonight: Phonics page, addition page and book-in-a-bag!

Have a wonderful night!!
